On Wednesday, 12th January, 2022, a team from ABC Foundation paid an advocacy visit to the Seriki and Chiefs of the Sabo community.
In a bid to gain entry into the community, we had to make them aware of our intentions: to sensitize the people on cervical cancer and deliver free VIA (visual inspection with acetic acid) screening to their women.
Cervical cancer sensitization is important for early detection of cervical cancer. In lieu of this, ABC Medical foundation visited Seed of Life Secondary School creating awareness of HPV vaccination and cervical cancer prevention.
As a foundation, we urge all women to have a regular check up always because 1 in 8 Women suffer breast cancer every year, which is a leading cause of death among women.
