The University of the Third Age (U3A) has conferred a Fellowship Award on Her Excellency, Dr. Mrs Florence Ajimobi, Founder and CEO of the Access to Basic Medical Care Foundation, in recognition of her dedicated service to United Nations programmes on Ageing and her outstanding contributions to Lifelong Learning (LLL) and inter-generational cooperation.
The Fellowship was received on her behalf by Dr. Olamiji Ajanaku, Chief Operating Officer of the Foundation, who also made valuable contributions to the discourse. She spoke on the institutionalisation of educational gerontology, community-anchored geriatric care, and the demographic implications of ageing in Africa.
