On Wednesday, 12th January, 2022, a team from ABC Foundation paid an advocacy visit to the Seriki and Chiefs of the Sabo community.
In a bid to gain entry into the community, we had to make them aware of our intentions: to sensitize the people on cervical cancer and deliver free VIA (visual inspection with acetic acid) screening to their women.
This visit gave us a window of insight into their belief system and how best we could foster an amiable relationship for our intervention. We are happy that they agreed to cooperate with us on our fight against cervical cancer.
With this, all plans were set in motion towards the intervention.
