January has been designated cervical cancer health awareness month and provides a chance to raise awareness on the ills of cervical cancer. Cervical cancer can be prevented through regular screening and appropriate follow up tests if necessary.

ABC Takes Part In The 2nd Cancer Summit In Abuja; Presents Research Abstract

Members of the Foundation were in attendance and fully participated in the CEAFON 2nd Cancer Summit, held on the 5th and 6th of October 2016 at the Yar’ Adua Centre in Abuja. The summit was aimed at addressing the major challenges of diagnosis and treatment for breast and cervical cancer in Nigeria, which account for about 50% of all female cancers in Nigeria.

To mark the Foundation’s 3rd year anniversary, on Wednesday, 28th September 2016, the Foundation, sponsored by Rotary Club Onireke Axis carried out a VIA (Visual Inspection with Acetic Acid) screening for 200 women at Oniyanrin Primary Health Care Centre.

ABC AND OTHER STAKEHOLDERS IN HEALTH CARE HOSTS ‘FUTURE ASSURED’

On Thursday, 28th of April 2016, Oyo State hosted project ‘Future Assured’, a free health initiative of Her Excellency, Mrs. Muhammadu Buhari (Wife of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria). The project provided screening and necessary treatment for women from all 33 Local Government Areas of the State with a focus on breast and cervical cancer screening, hypertension and diabetes.
